Overview

The Sr. Pricing & Estimating Analyst position is responsible for the full range of procurement related support services of acquisition activities. In this role, you will be providing pricing and estimating analysis in support of acquisition strategy, cost estimating, pricing matrices, cost volumes and audit support.

Responsibilities

Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide estimating support in the development of Basis of Estimates to include pulling and validating actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, validating calculations, and validating estimating approach is sound for accuracy and compliance
  • Participate on the proposal teams as a Principal Estimator responsible for the preparation and assembly of cost proposals; support contract negotiations; support internal and external audits; identify areas for process improvements and assist in implementation of revised processes.
  • Develop pricing for proposal submissions by working closely with the business development, proposal manager, and technical team while adhering to proposal schedule deadlines
  • Develop and communicate potential pricing scenarios for senior leadership consideration
  • Manage distribution of pricing data calls to subcontractors and respond to pricing data calls by prime contractors as needed
  • Prepare cost volumes describing specific estimating methodology to support price reasonableness and price realism
  • Assisting in the analysis of the customer's requirements; translating those requirements into specific instructions to all internal company functions
  • Monitoring the responses for conformity to the instructions; combining numerical data, either manual or electronic, together in a computer pricing model;
  • Preparing summary analyses, reports and the submittal documents that consolidate cost and text into comprehensive volumes
  • Provide compliance resource internally to other organizations to ensure proper documentation for configuration management of all pricing analysis and pricing files;
  • Establish process flows, policies and procedures to monitor effectiveness as related to maintenance of pricing and estimating files;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of Pricing experience required;
  • Knowledge of Accounting, Financing, pricing, pricing strategy and understanding of strategic plans;
  • Knowledge of General Accounting Practices, Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Regulations, Uniform Commercial Code, State Regulations and other associated regulations;
  • Advanced experience in preparing cost and price analyses; estimating systems and tools
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of initiative;
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint),
  • Proven ability to assess needs, identify issues, summarize and present information/ recommendations and implement change;
  • Strong ability and experience planning and coordinating to completion multiple concurrent tasks in a multi-deadline environment
