    Altarum is seeking a Product Analyst to join our Center for Healthy Women and Children (CHWC) in Michigan. A Product Analyst supports to the goals of Altarum’s CHWC to promote improvement of patient care and population health by supporting the proliferation of enabling technologies to improve care coordination. The position fulfills a role on the Los Angeles Dental Registry (LADR) team to inform product strategy and stakeholder coordination. This is a full-time position that will work within the CHWC.

     

    The CHWC aims to improve oral health care access for pediatric populations by further developing and launching LADR. LADR was built on an existing solution called Michigan’s Dental Registry (MiDR) for replication in LA County, California. We aim to launch the application to meet the needs of the complex LA environment by transforming the way medical and dental providers communicate regarding their patient’s oral health by increasing electronic communication among the patient's care team. This allows for better coordination in patient treatment and referrals across medical and dental settings.

     

    The CHWC’s mission is to improve the health of women and children by strengthening health promotion programs and systems, care coordination and the use of preventive health services. As a Product Analyst, you’ll have an opportunity to support a variety of other CHWC projects, shape the Center’s overall strategy, and participate in diffusion activities to promote expansion of effective interventions to other states. You’ll work with a passionate, innovative team of public health professionals, analysts, and researchers.

     

    This position will work either at our headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI, or other location to be determined.

    Responsibilities

    Under the direction of the Product Manager, the Product Analyst is responsible for communicating with users and incorporating user feedback and data analysis into product strategy, creating collateral to support adoption based on market analysis, and coordinating with stakeholders and potential partners to strengthen the application. Specific responsibilities include the following:

    • Support technology adoption amongst the medical and dental provider community
    • Communicate program messaging to partners and stakeholders
    • Conduct analysis as needed related to preventive services documented, application use, and user adoption rates
    • Contribute to requirements gathering from the user perspective, and map out clinic workflows for integration of new processes
    • Monitor adoption of the application and implement strategies to improve utilization of the tool
    • Review application performance and identify potential enhancements

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree health administration, public health, or related field
    • Three years of experience working in a healthcare setting, i.e., medical or dental, with experience in health IT
    • Ability to produce high-quality, professional looking reports in multiple formats (PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, web dashboard) for client presentations
    • Knowledge of common healthcare workflows
    • Understanding of healthcare quality measurement and how to read and implement quality measure specification documents
    • Very strong written and oral communication skills
    • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a project team, with multiple communication channels 
    • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills, and ability to step into new roles as needed
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
