    Altarum’s Center for Value in Health Care is seeking a Product Manager for its PROMETHEUS Analytics software. The Product Manager is responsible for the vision and success of the product line. Product Managers work closely with various teams to make business decisions and create product strategies that ensure the company’s long term sustainability.

    The Product Manager works with the Technology, Analysis, and Client Services teams to build and enhance products from existing ideas and help develop new concepts based on industry research and the needs of customers and prospects. A Product Manager possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. A Product Manager conducts market research including working in the field to understand target audience needs and issues, and find innovative solutions for existing and new market segments. The Product Manager will stay on top of current trends and develop long term plans for the success of the product line.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage software products and releases of new versions, ensuring all aspects of the design, development, testing, and implementation cycles are completed effectively and efficiently.
    • Be a technical expert on PROMETHEUS Analytics business rules.
    • Ensure products meet user requirements and translate user requirements to the Technology team.
    • Oversee processes and timelines for development, including maintaining and updating technical documentation (including changes to business rules and logic), organizing product briefings and reviews.
    • Provide professional client interface, ensure responsiveness to client requirements and concerns, and present technical aspects of the software to clients and stakeholders.
    • Proactively assesses progress, vulnerabilities, and risks. Identifies potential crises and develops and executes contingency plans.
    • Continually identify lessons learned, evaluate completed tasks and make process improvements based upon successful and unsuccessful project elements. Develop best practices to share.

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years experience as a Functional Lead or Software Product Manager in the Health IT space.
    • 2 years experience using and administering JIRA.
    • Strong facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Extensive experience working with clients and users.
    • Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
    • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse and remote teams.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and listening abilities.
    • Excellent team player and team builder

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with PROMETHEUS Analytics or other episode groupers.
    • Deep technical understanding of medical claims coding (such as ICD, CPT, NDC, HCPCS), and clinical data .
