    Overview: Altarum has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant in our Center for Military and Veterans Health supporting the Defense Health Agency. The position is located at the DHA client site in Falls Church, Virginia and may require occasional travel to Altarum offices and sites around the DC/VA area.

    Responsibilities

    • Providing on-site administrative support to the Decision Support Division and the professional staff in the Falls Church Office and remotely support the Chief and Staff in Aurora, Denver Office.
    • May provide correspondence prep and review, travel, typing and email support, training, time and attendance reporting and tracking, file maintenance, ADP and office automation support, records management support, supply maintenance, meeting support, mail, and other duties as assigned.
    • Support lead Executive Support staff with Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS), Travel (DTS), DAI Timekeeper, conference and meeting technical support, and other general, administrative and secretarial office support requirements
    • Provide office management support and some routine project support as well as support addressing Records Management and compliance, assistance with space planning/management, manpower and project tracking, training for all staff and other administrative staff projects and programs.

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and standard Microsoft Office software applications
    • Familiarity with DoD, DHA records management programs, travel regulations, correspondence and general administrative guidance
    • Must be comfortable working in fast-paced environment and managing a heavy workload and multiple projects with competing priorities, with ability to switch priorities quickly as needs change
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills
    • Good decision-making abilities and problem solving skills
    • Strong organizational skills; accurate and detail-oriented
    • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment

    MUST be eligible for a Security Clearance (Sole U.S. Citizenship required)
