    Altarum is seeking a temporary part-time health care research analyst to support a research project on ethics consultation in U.S. Hospitals. This position will work remotely from your home office.  


    You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge of health care and research methodology to make a difference in U.S. policy on clinical ethics. You will play a critical role in supporting, and implementing an important research study.


    • Providing support to all aspects of the research process, including project coordination, recruiting subjects via telephone, managing data, coordinating with external research partners, overseeing research logistics, data analysis, and writing reports.
    • Self-managing time and resources effectively.
    • Following all applicable privacy and confidentiality procedures in daily work.


    In order to meet the objectives described above, you must have:

    • Master’s degree in social science, health, or related field; or bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience working in health care or complementary research field.
    • Knowledge of research methods and processes such as subject recruitment, interviewing, qualitative methods, quantitative analysis, and formal writing.
    • Genuine interest in both the research process and in clinical ethics.
    • Professional, mature, telephone manner.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Able to work independently with intermittent supervision.
    • Demonstrated skills in time and project management.
    • Experience recruiting research subjects and/or conducting telephone interviews preferred.


    Hours and Salary:


    This is a part-time, hourly position. You will be expected to work only the hours for which work is assigned. It is expected that the work will entail 25-30 hours per week for several months then fewer hours per week for several more months. However, there is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours per week or per month.
